National Tropical Botanical Garden Visitor's Center
With NTBG's creative team, I designed trend conscious, fresh products. Utilizing bold colors and conversational graphics–items sold out. I was also responsible for sourcing/costing garments, creating spec sheets, overseeing production, selecting models, styling, and photography.
There are three motifs pictured: To start, the Shoots motif, modeled from Lauae Fern shoots. On the back of the kids shoots t-shirt, is printed "Shoots Brah!" Next, the Uluhe Fern motif was created from an indigenous fern, often called chain fern. And last but not least, the Coco Banana motif was found in NTBG's rare book library.
Adult models: Maegen interns in the tropical botany department, and is training for National Guard; Dave received "Volunteer of the Year" at the NTBG's Breadfruit Institute, and has won world titles in bodyboarding.
(Youth models: photos parents own.)
